Collaboration with MN Aurora x Mia, a new kit design
A new design for the MN Aurora 2026 kit features hallmark plants from our wild MN landscape.
I had the awesome opportunity to work with Bobby Rogers at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the MN Aurora team to design this year’s new kit. This year’s design is subtle, tonal, and quiet - an image of a lush Minnesota landscape at night under the stars. Though the plants featured would not normally live together in the same ecosystem, the idea was to feature some of Minnesota’s hallmark plants front and center. Each of the plants on the design (the Showy Lady’s Slipper, the Lupin, Wild Rice, and the Coneflower) are symbolic of the resilience, culture, and uniqueness of our community here in Minnesota. If you have the opportunity, check out the kit on the MN Aurora shop, or you can take a look at the the segment that was aired on Fox 9 on the day of the kit’s launch HERE.
